Plug&Play

At MuchBoost we specialize in upgrades of turbochargers based on factory models, so-called Hybrid Turbos (Plug&Play fitment). We also make Big Turbos for diesel engines, which we build based on two different VNT turbochargers.

When designing new models of turbochargers, we perform specialized calculations, estimate possible potentials and finally test on the cars. Our solutions are not accidental.

We take into account many factors such as compressor / turbine wheels TRIM, spool delay, wheels ratio, weight of the wheels, etc. These are well-thought-out and reliable turbo systems, resulting from knowledge and many years of experience. Often our customers are involved in the development of new turbine models.

Another important factor are parts – our turbochargers are equipped with reliable wheels and bearings.

Facts You Should Know:

  • On the outside, the product does not differ from other factory parts. All changes take place inside the turbocharger. As a result, no one will detect the modifications at first glance.
  • We simply take out the old parts and put in the new ones. You do not need any special instructions regarding the assembly. The assembly itself is simple – as if you were to install a normal factory part – there are no complications whatsoever.
  • You receive a warranty card along with installation instructions. These include information concerning the need to replace filters and other stuff.
  • We strongly recommend using bigger ‘Decat’ downpipes and more efficient cooling systems (bigger cooler + intake pipe) at the least. Check out our product offer.
  • Do you want to pay less? Use the option JUST UPGRADE – Send us your turbo for modification or just send it back after receiving the new one from us.
  • With us, you do not need to waste time looking for alternative assembly gasket sets. You get a set from us absolutely for free – you save time and money.

I. When it comes to the hybrid turbos, our workshop performs the upgrades as follows:

    Stage I Upgrade

    • The compressor housing and seal plates are precisely machined,
    • Larger and more efficient Billet Compressor Wheel GEN I or GEN II,
    • Upgraded journal bearing system that allows the turbo to hold more boost,
    • Genuine Turbine Wheel clipped and lightened to help reduce the backpressure,
    • Genuine compressor housing,
    • Genuine exhaust manifold,
      Genuine bearing housing,
      Genuine stock/upgraded actuator (it depends on the particular model of the turbo).
    • 100% P&P fitment

    Stage II Upgrade

    • The compressor + turbine housings and seal plates are precisely machined,
    • Even larger and more efficient Billet Compressor Wheel GEN I or GEN II,
    • Upgraded journal bearing system that allows the turbo to hold more boost,
    • larger Turbine Wheel to provide much more flow and lower exhaust temperatures with higher boost,
    • Genuine compressor housing,
    • Genuine exhaust manifold,
    • Genuine bearing housing,
    • Genuine stock/upgraded actuator (it depends on the particular model of the turbo),
    • 100% P&P fitment

    Additional features:

    • The compressor and turbine wheels are balanced separately, and then the whole core is high-speed balanced using VSR balancing machines at speeds similar to the level seen in the vehicle.
    • Then VNT system is calibrated perfectly.
    • We use a modern VISCOM flow bench and Schenck or Cimat balancing machines.
    • In most the cases, a ball bearing conversion is available. Brand new genuine Garrett ceramic ball bearings are used in the upgrade. The main advantage is ~20% quicker spool in comparison to journal bearings. This modification in order to perform the conversion, it is necessary to precisely machine the turbo cartridge (CHRA) to fit the ball bearings. This process requires high precision.

    Big Turbos

    Big Turbos adapted to diesel engines, mostly for Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen. etc. We use the manifolds from 1.6/1.9/2.0TDI engines and i.a. GTD1752VRK (BMW520D B47D20), GTB2260VK (N57D30) turbochargers, etc. Every turbo has adapted the VNT system from TDI engine. Our skills allow to perform these turbo to all VE, PD and Coomon Rail engines from VAG group.
